CHICAGO, Oct 31 (Reuters)The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) weekly crop progress report is expected to show the U.S. corn harvest is 75% complete and the soybean harvest 89% complete, according to the average estimate of 11 analysts polled by Reuters on Monday.

The government is scheduled to release its report on Monday at 3:00 PM CDT (2000 GMT). The United States is the world’s largest exporter of corn and the second largest supplier of soybeans after Brazil.

For the U.S. winter wheat crop to be harvested in 2023, analysts on average expected the USDA to report planting at 88% complete, up from 79% as of Oct. 23.

In their first condition ratings for the 2023 winter wheat crop, analysts expected the USDA to rate an average of 41% of the crop in good or excellent condition. Scores ranged widely from 30% to 53% good to excellent.

Dry conditions are hampering wheat planting and emergence in the Plains, the main wheat growing region of the United States. As of Oct. 25, about 74% of the U.S. winter wheat crop was in a drought zone, according to the government.
