Danger at every step! The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel has won fans over the years with its variety of exciting franchises — and the list keeps growing.
Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chebert, Alison Sweeney and Holly Robinson Peet these are just a few of the names that have earned their own movie series on the network.
While the characters and locations vary from franchise to franchise, each series of mystery films is filled with adventure, witty and interesting plots, and many twists and turns.
In fact, it was Sweeney who played the baker for the first time Hannah Swensen at A murder, she froze movieschanged her character for a spin-off franchise starting in August 2021 titled Secrets of Hannah Swensen. The premise is still based on Joan Flux‘ books, but the mysteries are even more intense.
“I am very excited to return to Hannah Swensen and work with her again Cameron [Mathison] and Barbara [Niven] to these fun stories that combine romance with intrigue.” Days of our lives – the star’s statement says Entertainment tonight in May 2021. “There are fans expressed their love for these characters so loudly and it’s exciting to bring them back to life and back to Hannah’s bakery where it all began.”
Fans met Hannah Sweeney in 2015 She Baked Murder: The Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery. The amateur detective managed to help solve the murder, start an affair with the new detective of the city, Mike Kingston (Matheson), get into a love triangle with dentist Norman Rhodes (Gabriel Hogan) and manage your bakery in one movie.
Although the series ended in 2017, all the characters are back in 2021 for a renewed — and continued storyline — about a baker who can’t stay out of trouble no matter how hard she tries.
Sweeney, who is also a star Mysteries of the chronicles, isn’t the only Hallmark Movies & Mysteries actor keeping busy with the successful franchise. Cameron Bure, who is the reigning Queen of Christmas for the main Hallmark Channel network, is also a staple on the mystery front.
She took off at 17 Mysteries of Aurora Teagarden movies from 2015 to 2021. In February 2022, her 18th film in the series debuted with Full house Alum takes a familiar face with him on the trip: his daughter Natasha Bure.
“I liked it. I loved every minute of it,” Cameron Bure told exclusively us in February 2022, worked with her daughter, who plays the younger version of her character, Aurora, in the mystery.
The Christmas contest the star explained that she was talking about attracting both Natasha and Lexa Doigdaughter Mia Shanks, in the franchise for a while before it actually happened. (In the series, Doig plays the role of Aurora, or Ro’s best girl, Sally Allison.)
“We thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if we did an Aurora Teagarden.’ [and] we made memories and we had our own daughters play us out as teenagers?'” the California native recalled. “So to make it happen and we were able to do it [as actors] it was so much fun.”
Cameron Bure, who also has sons Leo and Maxim with her husband Valerie Bure, joked, “I felt like the biggest mom on stage. I was so proud. I gave her all kinds of notes and wrote how to act like Aurora and Lexa were doing the same thing to their daughter. And we would take pictures and then we would shoot video from the screen while they were shooting their scenes. As it was, it was so much fun.”
