Profit before tax (excluding an exceptional gain of Rs 6.05 crore on sale of a building on leased land) was Rs 349.0 crore, compared to Rs 28.6 crore in the second quarter and Rs 50.8 crore in the previous quarter. Since the current financial year, the company has taken ESOPs of 6 crore in each quarter, net of profit before tax of 55.0 crore.
For the second quarter of fiscal 2022 ending September 30, 2022, Gokaldas Exports Limited, one of India’s largest apparel manufacturers and exporters, reported consolidated revenue of Rs 3,576.3 crore, up 29 percent from 446.0 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company reported a net profit (excluding exceptional gain of Rs 6.05 crore) of Rs 39.8 crore in the current quarter and posted an EBITDA of Rs 371.9 crore compared to Rs 53.9 crore in Q2 and Rs 74.3 crore in the first quarter. EBITDA margin for the current quarter was 12.5 percent, up 0.4 percent year-over-year and the prior quarter.
