Police in Indiana have made an arrest in connection with the killing of two eighth-grade girls in Delphi, Indiana in 2017.
Richard Allen of Delphi, Indiana, was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of murder for the killing of eighth-graders Abby Williams,13, and Libby German, 14, Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter announced at a news conference Monday.
The two teenagers were hiking in rural Delphi when they were killed on February 13, 2017. Police have not released details on how the girls died.
Carroll County Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland said that Allen had his initial court hearing and pleaded not guilty.
Allen is being held without bond and will be back in court in January, McLeland said.
“Per the court order, we cannot talk about the evidence that’s in the probable cause” affidavit, McLeland said, ABC30 reported.
McLeland has not said whether Allen knew either of the girls.
This is a developing story and it will be updated.
