Providing a key opportunity to capitalize on business growth prospects in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), Yarn Expo Shenzhen will be held in Hall 10 of the Shenzhen World Expo and Convention Center from November 2 to 4, 2022. Suppliers will showcase a wide variety of yarns and fibers, from high-quality natural products to innovative synthetics, as well as offerings in the sustainable and functional yarn categories at the event.

“Yarn Expo has built a global reputation as a leading trade show highlighting international yarn and fiber trends, as well as a thought-provoking trade show.” Wilmet Shi, Deputy CEO of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, says the press release. “We are delighted to welcome back to Yarn Expo Shenzhen this year, which is strategically located in the Greater Bay Area, a dynamic fashion hub and one of the country’s growth engines. In addition to the usual yarn and fiber categories, sustainable and functional materials will be a major focus at our upcoming show. This is a commodity sector that we would like to develop further as we believe it best suits the industry’s sourcing needs, especially given the fast-growing market in South China and South East Asia.”

Shenzhen, which is one of the main cities in China, is characterized by high domestic demand and steady economic growth. According to data from Delta Analysis, the GBA recorded a positive trade balance of $42.9 billion in July 2022, an increase of 19.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The most noticeable recovery of the trade balance took place after the spring, when in May 2022 the region saw a significant year-on-year increase of 34.6 percent. In addition to the area’s export potential, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce has made efforts to develop Shenzhen into an international consumer hub, which is introducing a wide range of new measures to help in February 2022.

Notably, Shenzhen is home to thousands of apparel designers, brands and manufacturers associated with major yarn and fiber producers in categories such as women’s, men’s, children’s, underwear, denim and wool. With evidence to support the region’s production, consumption and export potential, Yarn Expo Shenzhen is a good platform for industry players to reach key contacts and grow their business.

Following the success of the previous edition, which attracted 24,463 buyers, the 2022 fair will host a wide range of forums and seminars. Meanwhile, three more textile fairs will be held simultaneously with Yarn Expo Shenzhen – Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, CHIC and PH Value. Together, these fairs represent the entire value chain of the textile industry and will provide a wide range of sourcing options and networking opportunities to maximize business outcomes, the release added.

“The flow of visitors is much better than we expected. Yarn Expo and parallel fairs form a one-stop trade platform where you can find everything in yarn, fabric and fashion. This offers us a good opportunity to find new potential customers and network with our existing customers.” Zhejiang Xinao Textiles Inc Marketing Manager Nicole Nee commented on how the show strengthened their business.

Yarn Expo Shenzhen is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; Textile Industry Sub-Council, CCPIT; China Cotton Textile Association; and China Chemical Fiber Association.
